If the fans of the Argentine national football team cant retire Maradonna's umber 10 shirt, we cant do radlinskis.

I'd bet the RFL wouldn't allow it anyway. They insisted Andrew Johns take the 31 shirt last season for Warrington as it was the next consecutive number, though for marketing reasons they wanted to give him No. 77.

Like some people have said there have been great Full Backs before Radlinski and i'm sure there will be many more good full backs at Wigan.

The number 1 shirt at Wigan is a symbol in it's self, full backs tend to stay at clubs for along than most players, Kris was the last of one generation at Wigan now Ashton will start another one with the number 1 shirt.

Ashton has worked hard and show the commitment needed to be a wigan player and he deserves the 1 shirt.

I think that Radlinski does deserve something abit specially though has he has stuck with the club, resisted the money grabbing Union route and remained loyal to wigan. Kris Radlinski a true Legend.
