I got a collection of old Wign matches last week Now I have been watching them and what shines through is how so many of the players concerned could raise their game no matter what the challenge was. I, like many think about Gregory, Edward, Hanley but I was watching Skerrett and you know what he would rip the likes of Anderson, Cayless and Graham to pieces. Special K and Platty were two awesome props. Just been watchin the 95/6 side. Compare this backline v saints present one; Paul (FB) Robinson/Offiah (wings), Inga/Connolly (Centres) Botica (6) Edwards (7) Reserve Back Radlinski. Frightening I would take that backline to outplay Saints backs anyday of the week. Have to say the young Henry Paul was a sublime runner, the balance and grace of a figure skater.
This guy is probably talking about challenge cup victories; saints have won it 10 times..wigan 17
not forgetting the great run of 8 consecutive challenge cup wins! have saints done that? thought not
I must admit Saints do play well. But they are missing one vital thing CLASS! To be honest the pack just looks like a group of thugs to me. They certainly dont have the making of Champions, revenue, die hard fans, state of the art stadium etc.

did any1 whach granda reports to night and hear that stev from st helens thinks that saints are more successful now then we where in our time of glory??
They are not as successful as you period.
I will say that this has to be the best Saints TEAM I have ever seen.
They're not as lethol in attack as we've seen over the years but their defence in balance with their attack is superb.
I've never been a fan of Millward, who inherented a great saints team. He never, during his years at Saints, drilled into them so much as half the defensive structure Anderson has put in place.
