Post by WILL 01 »

Got friends coming up from down south for Friday's game, Does anyone know any hotels that are quite near to the JJB and are a reasonable rate ?

The one we usually stay at is The Quality Inn on Riverway, just opposite Tesco. It takes about 20 mins to walk to the ground.

Ah the Quality Inn... straight facing Central Park! Now, sadly Tesco... it could be worse, it could be ASDA.

But anyhoo... There are many travel inns in wigan, any hotel near the town centre is adequate... easy walk to the stadium but the Quality Inn is your best bet.

what about Jarvis hotels... half a mile from my house and about 10 minutes drive to the JJB - can also see reebok stadium through windows, a mile away

Very minimalistic rooms though...

I normally stay at the Brocket Arms when I'm in Wigan

Bit nicer than the Quality Inn and only a few quid in a taxi in to town (or a short walk). Plus its attached to a weatherspoons so cheap food and drink!

if your staying with a family the travel inn at wheatley park just off m6 is a good option ,30 mins walk to ground or a 5 min bus ride which goes past on a regular basis  www.premiertravelinn.co.uk

Give Dave Whelan some more money and stay at the Wrightington Country Club.
