The one aspect, well two that I cannot get my head around with Pat Richards are that for a big bloke he seems soft in contact and easy to tackle and also very slow for a winger.
Like vaealiki hes a big lad, but hes tackled as soon as someone touches him, does he not know what a tackle bust is? The one time he did it this season he created a cracking try! Richards and Vaealiki are both big blokes who should be able to cause the opposition some trouble in handling them, but both of them seem frightened to fight in attack.
pats a strange one he's our top try scorer but he does look slow and soft. His game against the bulls was different to anything we had seen from him this year were he actually defended well and attacked their line from deep, on this form i would say keep him. i'm off to pick up my mate now and head to the airport ,see ya all later
The difference since PR was demoted to u21 duty and now is huge, along with some decent coaching I think PR will become a success!!! Especially after a full off season of training under the watchful eye of Brian Noble!!!! As for Carney he should not come back as that never works for any player!!
