CHRIS ASHTON - SALFORD BOUND!!

Post by turf »

I know that the RL fans site do someimtes talk nonsense but the latest roomer on there is that Chris Ashton is Salford bound for 2007.

Mind you, I think they also said that Ashton is Rugby Union bound for 2007 but I don't think that EITHER roomer is true - or at least I hope not!!!!!!

Wouldn't happen to be a salford fan saying this by any chance?
"And Martin Offiah, trying to make some space, now then..." - Ray French, Wembley 1994

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

The first one is total rubbish about him heading over to Salford, however, i am still concerned about the second rumour!

ha has a year on his contract and is going nowhere, that is straight from Chris himself, not second hand rumour

I was talking to a member of the staff at Wigan recently. The conversation got around to Withers. This person wouldn't comfirm his signing but said Ashton will be "devastated when he is moved"!!??

Someone else asked this person how we would fare next season. The response was that with the signings we are making we will be as good as anyone. He then promptly clammed up!!
