REFEREE FORGETS GUIDE DOG SHOCKER!!!

Post by SOUTH COAST WARRIOR »

GOOD GAME , SHAME ABOUT THE REFEREEING, PRETTY SHOCKIN AT TIMES, THINK HE BOTTLED IT ON A FEW OCCASIONS. SEVERAL INCIDENTS WERE TOO BLATANT TO IGNORE BUT...........HE IGNORED THEM!! SAINTS DID ALL THEY COULD TO GET US RATTLED AND IT WORKED TO A DEGREE, REF SHOULD HAVE NIPPED IT IN THE BUD THO, SHAME HE DIDNT, STILL A WINS A WIN, ESPECIALLY AGAINST SAINTS AT HOME, THERE IS A GOD AFTER ALL.

I dont think he was that bad actually. I think there were times when I was going mad about high tackles and swinging arms but overall I think he was pretty even. I havent said that for a long time.

I agree Fozzard has been to the Adrian Morely school of high tackle rugby. I understand why he has the bandages on his arm due to breaks - but does he have to use it as a weapon!!!

RHM, did you not notice that Fozzard had the strapping bulked up and extended to the full length of his arm at half-time, moaning millward must have thought he wasn't hitting us hard enough in the first half.
Credit where credits due though, he might be big and rough but he played 76 minutes+ before he went off and not many props are that fit.

have to say i only listened to this on the radio as i cant afford sky yet but the commmentators were saying both teams got away with a few high shots. but they did say hooper was very lucky not to be in bother when he took lam out after a kick early on. From listening to this millward cant complain about our high shots he needs to get his own house in order another thing does anyone know how gilmour is they said he was strechered off and looked in a bad way.

He only went off because he was starting to have a go at anyone who tackled him. Having Craig Smith stand up to him seemed to p*ss him off a bit so the next tackle he started mouthing off to Danny Orr and whoever else was involved in the tackle. He was getting even more steamed up, so I think Milly withdrew just in case Ian Smith found his bottle and remembered where his cards were.

The lack of cards is my only real complaint about last night's ref. He should have penalised Stains with a binning for persistently committing the same offenses, high shots were the main problem. But Scully could also have gone for repeatedly mouthing off at the ref. I know he's the captain, but I've seen Faz sent off for that before now.

The ref did miss a lot, but it evened itself out over the whole match. I think Fozzard should have been binned but likewise, Danny Sculthorpe could have been in for the same fate.
I was expecting another Good Friday boxing match and maybe the ref thought if they beat the hell out of eachother then it's over and done.
Hats off to the ref for going with the linesman to accept that Radlinski did get the Saints player in touch and that it wasn't a penalty against Wigan.... things were looking a little hairy at that point.

Ref was very poor and i agree that he should have nipped a few things in the bud. Players chatting back is becoming a problem and i say they should get a yellow otherwise we will join football with the same indiscipline
