Ian Laybourne tips Noble & Ashton

Post by GeoffN »

...for coach & young player of the year!

http://www.sportinglife.com/rugbyleague ... olumn.html

"...With the additional achievement of guiding Bradford to an emphatic World Club Challenge victory over Wests Tigers at the start of the year, Noble must get the vote."

"Favourite for the award, however, must be Ashton, who has missed only two matches in Wigan's difficult season and admirably filled the boots of legendary full-back Kris Radlinski."

I'd go along with those!

I think neither will get the respective awards. I expect a clean sweep from Saints with Wellens, Graham and Anderson picking up awards. Would be nice if IM was right though.

Would be a first this season!

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

The way millward tips its more likely to be moran and millward. (judging on his tip of brown to be a star of the season in february)

Where does it say it's Millward saying this? It says Ian Laybourn. :conf:
That's odd - they've changed it! It was under Millward's weekly column originally!

I'll edit it!

To be honest as much as i hate to admit it i cant see anyone other than graham getting YPotY, the lad has been outstanding no-more so than ashton but dont forget his appearance for GB is gonna put him slightly ahead of ashton me thinks. Dont want it too because i think that ashotn has had to work hard and has still excele with a poor team for the most of the season but we know how these things work it never goes to the right person.

I hope Graham wins the award!! Only because after Lee Gilmour won it when he played for us, the following season, he wasn't very good!!
