rather than all getting carried away with willies mental capabilities the real point is just poor refereeing.
The punch on Feilden could have been dealt with straight away, even with just a yellow card. It was after all "just a punch" that happpened to connect properly. I am not saying we should turn a blind eye to fighting but as far as things go it was no worse a fight than you see in an awful lot of games. Just a luckier punch!
The Long incident would have then led to a red card. Justifiably.

Ironically i beleive the fact that peacock put willie on the floor i think was one of the reasons we won the game. Had he not shown Willie he was not the "cock of the pitch" i think he would have dominated the game. Fielden was not the only one who was quietened down.

lets keep some perspective.
Had Masons punch just been met with one back from Fielden it would not have been seen as such a huge point of the game.

I still would love him to play for us, but I would insist in the contract that he had to revert to his old hair do!
IMO he really couldn't get in our squad. Who would you drop to let him in?

Either Prescott or O'Carroll, I'd say. To have him coming on to replace Feca would be pretty good, IMO.

I know everyone likes to get on the referees back in these situations but how many people saw Fielden get floored in real time?

Unless you were in Australia you would have had to see the replay to see the incident. So if the camera missed the incident why should Klein see the incident when he is following the ball?

Similarly with the second, referees and touch judges tend to follow the ball after a kick and check whether the runners are on-side. The moment you concentrate on back-play you can guarantee that you'll miss something like an offside player winning the ball or the recieving player knocking on.

Why? Did you see the knock-ons he put down, they were just schoolboy stuff.

i seen it in real time because i thought knowing fielden theres bound to be afters

i thought Peacock showed great leadership by steaming in afterwards, captains should look after there team like that

if hes playing i think stuey has to have a top drawer performance against NZ or else he could have a damaged repuatation

Hey Rob went in Botany Bay yesterday and who should walk in one of the connolly bros. You would not believe how fat he is now.

I think your being kind Rob IMO. Looking for late charges on kickers is standard practice and I dont know about you but my eyes stay near the POTB after its been played, and it remains in my field of vision for a long time unless the team moves the ball wide at speed.

I cant believe some of the comments i have read. I am a Wiganer and GB supporter but Mason did no more than many before him.,Skerret,Cowie,Newton,McDermott for Wigan,Morley,Goulding, for GB just to name a few all committed serious fouls that were no better or worse than Masons. This is Rugby League and it is going to happen so lets not pretend that we are angels.

But they were usually punished and held there hads up an accepted there responsibility. Mason has not.
