You are joking? There are twenty odd other players still out there who have all played the season here and he isn't the only one with issues outside of RL.

He has run away and left his team mates in the lurch despite the coaches best efforts to get him to stay.

Noble said he would have played were he still out there so despite that he still walked out on his responsibilities.

Do you think players like Peacock and Fielden would ever cop out like this?

Long is a weak willed selfish person who is happy to take what the game gives him but won't give anything back when asked to.

If there had been complications with his wife's pregnancy fair enough. I have been cautious all along in not slating him for indiscretions no one could prove.

Now we know there are no problems with his wife, no disciplinary or gambling problems but instead he has left for self centred reasons.

He is 30 years old not some immature 16 year old kid on his first night away from home.

He is absolutely pathetic and I for one am glad he is not associated with this club.

The game against the Kiwis proved that longs performance against the Aussies (which was pretty much his only credable performance in a proper test) was a one off fluke. Long realised he wouldn't be able to do it again and that it is highly likely that the Aussies will do a number on us this weekend.

Rather than show loyalty to the team and go down fighting, he chose to run off home - essentially admitting defeat before the kick off.

He said he is tired - however it's not like he runs the ball into the forwards 20 times a match. Fielden is carrying an injury and lost his Mother before the tour started. He was then sucker punched in the second match - however he is still out there trying his hardest and hasn't started whining about wanting to go home.

This will hopefully be the final chapter in long's (very poor) international career.

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds

One good game against the Aussies and then back to his usual "I only play well when we are murdering someone syndrome". I thought it was too good to last.
One decent game at international level at 30 years old, hardly the stuff of legend is it?
As far as I can see, it's a simple case of bottling it. International career over.

burnt out,he wants to try working 7 days a week to feel what tired is.he could have gone down as a member of a side that made history, instead he will be known as a quiter, who could not stand the pace.hope all the other lads still out there pull off a miricle and win the tri-nations,and stick two fingers up to the quiter

 Fatigued. Alan Prescott broken arm tackled Aussies non stop, Mike Gregory serious injury still led GB to victory v NZ. Men of courage, men who dug deep the tougher it became.

Sean Long who am i not correct is lying re number of games he played. Was he not rested by Whiner Anderson on more than one occasion.

Sean Long who has already changed his story from concern over his wife to fatigue.

Sean Long who would not face the press in Aus.

I almost feel sorry for him. Imagine the flak he is going to take at every away (or even home?) game. Think I'll jump on Redvee to see what they think.
