Best Wigan Signing
Who do you think has been the best signing made by Wigan?
In recent years I would have to say Brett Dallas and Adrian Lam were probably the best signings. Dallas was an excellent winger and totally committed to the club. Lam was an excellent player it will be a while before Wigan find a scrum half of his quality again.

Neither of these 2. Dallas was injured too much and Lam was past his best and didn't play long enough for us. If you are talking about signings from another club rather than progressing through the ranks Hanley is the best in the modern era without doubt IMO.adrenalinxx posted:

Shaun Edwards provided reasonable value for his £30,000 up front over the next 13 or so years

That was why I queried signings as in paying a transfer fee.DaiJones posted:

Jamie Ainscough
Re: Best Wigan Signing
Edwards if we count him as a signing, then I'd go for Dean Bell, he was a true class in every sense and a true clubman. After that, Hanley, Lydon, Andy Greg, these are all people from my time watching Wigan, I won't speculate on previous era's.

Re: Best Wigan Signing
well, apart from my 2 previous nominations for me i'd have to say Martin Offiah - a kid growing up watching him, was great.
