O/T for the computer wizards

Post by FROM A TO B »

My anti-virus pack is due to expire in December.
Curently using Norton, but I've been told by a few mates that this does slow down the PC.
Any recommendations from the more PC aware?
Was thinking of moving to McAfee.

I use Avast http://www.avast.com/. Its free for the standard edition and you don't have to worry about licenses running out. Recommended by lots of geeks!

I use Zone Alarm - they have various packages and the prices are good.

AVG is the best anti-virus I've used, it picks up more than Norton, it uses less resources, and costs nothing.

I also use the AVG anti-spyware, which is spot on also.

I've been using the free blueyonder ant-virus since they brought it out, it's free and i have not had a problem with it.
I did use Norton a while ago but i got plenty problems and ended up loading the AVG prog to get rid of what Norton could not deal with, i also have Zone alarm pro.
If you are on Blueyonder just go to the web site and download it (free).
