you criticise fielden for rollicking people yet when we want o'loughlin to do the same, and he doesn't, everyone goes mental!
This was different from how a coach or captain would talk/shout at you...he was eye to eye pointing in his face almost about to smack him...I have no objections to him or anyone doing this to the opstite team but not your own team mate/member.

seen Faz do the same in fact worse seen him give players the hair dryer treatment, they covered in spit when he was finished with them

Doesn't sound/look as if Fielden goes out of his way to help Ashton does it? Mind you I have heard he can be a bit giddy at times.

At leat a couple of times this year, when Ashton has been down because of a penalty conceded or a mistake, Barret, or another senior player have been patting him on the back and encouraging him and supporting him.

For goodness sakes that is what he needs!!!! Not a rollicking from a 6 foot odd, and 13/14 stone prop!!!

Ashton neveer said a word he was minding his own business. Fielden went up to him and attacked him. I think Ashton is not half as confident as people make out. He strikes me as somebody who is a bit of larakin in order to hide his lack of confidence. Quite immature in many ways.

Getting a bit annoyed with Fielden all round re his gesturing and pontificating. Props do not point and gesture at the opposition. Big Kel rarely said a word. He either belted you with his fists or got you legitimately with a big hit. Platty just hammered you in the next tackle.

Maybe Fielden is feeling the pressure given we expect more from him than he delivers :conf:

I was stood behind the sticks fielden was first or second in the tackle Ashton was last in two more players were involved and he should have been stopped short and held up but I have a feeling something must have been said?
Fielden is not the captain this reaction may be a reason he is not .
We hace conceded a lot of trys since fielden came to the club both of the players must have been involved in similar incidents why the reaction this time?

I dont think Fielden is under much pressure from us fans. We dont really sing his name during warm-up and only sing Stuuuuuart Fielden when he breaks a rare tackle. It's nearly a year since Fielden came so he gotta be used to it now. I think the fans views are more on Barrett/ Lulu and Ashton IMO.

Someone else said to me today that when Ashton went to the wing - Fielden shook his head.

Have their paths crossed once before somewhere in the past? Either way there are things that have gone on or that are going on i.e, behind the scenes that us fans are just not plugged in to.

Think this may be a mountain and mole hill thing sure Ashton is worrying more about his ankle and his team going down than Fielden.

Just because Ashton (who by this point was obviously carrying his injury) went out to the wing to see if he could run his injury off, Fielden stood there, looked towards were Ashton was going (the wing) and shook his head.

I still think that it is wrong for Fielden to do this.

As I asked before do they like each other these two?!?!?! You may say they are supposed to like each other and be team mates but hey, just look at this from last night!!!

Fielden spits his dummy out a lot. It's happened all season. There's probably nothing to it.

I wouldn't put a bet on it, let's put it that way!!!!

I wonder what Fielden's like should it be bad news on Ashton? Spitting the dummy out on someone else perhaps????????

Come on, these guy's are (supposed to be) team mates and the best of friend for goodness sakes aren't they?!?!?!
