Hypothetical question. Willie mason comes on a three year contract @ £120k per year. He is also employeed as a front man for GGB sportswear at £250K per annum. For this he must attend functions, sponser the brand at tradefairs etc. (David Beckham makes millions doing this as does many other sports personalities) Where does the sponser money come in the salery cap? Private income or backhander? Willie said what his contract was worth. It may be totally different to how it is made up. It is his agents job to broker these deals. Interesting twist, HC
Any income like that counts under the cap rules.
What if he goes and workd at Greggs 1 hour a week on 100,000 a year. Now thats a way round it. Get Greggs to give him a job.

Nothing wrong with having 2 jobs.

HC in many ways you have said it as it is.

GB beat NZ to win the series and yet media coverage post victory was spartan. Some incredibly mediocre events got coverage whilst Paula Radcliffe (Fabulous and deserved) was plastered on every programme for a day or two afterwards.

We need news worthy personalities and we need lots of stories to even get a tenth of the media coverage we deserve.
