Players not good enough? Yet how many internationals have we? On another thread the worst player to play for Wigan is performing quite well thank you at Wakey thanks to an inspiring coach.
Leadership comes from the top down. As the old joke goes 'where is the inspiration Nobby?'
'running down my collar'
(and I've cleaned it up)

God! There must be one or two more inspirational coaches and players out there somewhere, surely??

Hope I.L. is looking.

Noble has to take some of the flack the way we have been playing. Coaching or conditioning, its not good. Wests had a flying winger in Richards, now he cant keep up with an inflated second rower at London. London had a sharp scrum half, now at Wigan, he breaks the 25M line and gets caught on the half way line. Speed is the main atribute of most sports, wether it be physical or in the head. Where is ours. My opinion is the conditioning of the players sucks at this club and needs to be increased, all of the Stains players could bust the line, back up and score, how many of ours could.

In any sport, attitude and desire are a major factor and its a fine line between success and failure (taken from the B. Noble book of soundbites!!!!!!), whilst Noble aint a world beater as a coach, you have to equally point the finger of blame at the players, there's obviously a problem between players/coach and that what needs rooting out. The players have the ability, just not hte desire for whatever reason.

G.Hock turns up late for training and is told by B.Noble that he will be on the bench for the next game.
G.Hock says to B.Noble that if H.Hanson is picked before him, B.Noble can go forth & multiply. B.Noble turns up at G.hocks house wondering why G.Hock is upset and can they resolve the problem. G.Hock is picked ahead of H.Hanson at the next game.
I am sure most coaches would have resolved this situation in the same manner. its called respect. NOT.

If there is even a shred of truth in this then Hock should be dropped to the reserves and fined (bearing in mind that it's a bit academic now).

No-one is bigger than the club and no-one should be guaranteed a place in the team and anyone who thinks otherwise can always look for another club.

I still cannot fathom his logic.

Calderwood has been treated like a leper and yet he picks him tonight.

Mossop overlooked for the 20 minute reserve spot which goes to Colbon who is leaving and some consider a back.

Game won, O'Carroll. Seemed a short spell personally.

Who knows but it is very inconsistent

You might be right. Fans forum. IL states Phelps does not like playing wing. Friday he is at centre. Personally loved to see him at FB because although he tries Mathers never broke a tackle all night.
