A simple question.. Was Edwards a great?
Re: A simple question.. Was Ed...
What a question
Edwards is one of the best players i have ever seen play for wigan!
Ok better players played before him, i didn't see them! Not seen this since, not at Wigan..
Edwards and Gregory is the best partnership we have ever had, if we could replicate this again we will be great again..
You are very hard to please if you think he wasn't great.

Between us, I think we have said it all!Matthew wrote:I'm sorry - but if Edwards isn't/wasn't an all time great for Wigan - who was?
His determination was enough to set him aside from most of his generation - you never had to check if he was up for playing stains!

Cant believe anyone as asked this question unless WW is Mick Ford. Played against Edwards all through senior school and without doubt he was different class, he had a great Rugby mind his work ethic was fanastic. He was brave not many players would fracture a cheekbone early in a game and play the full game. He has never forgot where he is from and I hope one day he will be back where he belongs.

Simple answer YES
Re: A simple question.. Was Ed...
Lets put it this way we would have won tonight with him on the field without a shadow of doubt .

And Slim for those saying he was not fast, what did you reckon when you played against him? I believe he even did a bit of schoolboy athletics too.slimshady wrote:Cant believe anyone as asked this question unless WW is Mick Ford. I had forgotten about Mick Ford. Another example of, if you want to succeed in RL, don't write a column in the Evening Post!slimshady wrote:Cant believe anyone as asked this question unless WW is Mick Ford. Drop on Mick occasionally. His kid plays in NWC and has quite a bit of talent. Neither of us knows who he gets it from!!

Mike Ford was a decent player who worked hard at his game.
