Jim
Have to disagree Jim, he hits like a train and has more pace and can pass (apart from the break :)) never really rated him before but the last 2 games him and all the lads have stood up.
He is one of the youngsters Wigan must keep hold of, for sure.
He is 22 in December comes from good breeding stock though Terry Flanagan was his father.

He is just another example of the fact that our 'youngsters' are good enough and will not let us down.

Mind you Bobby Robson made Mick Mills Ipswich Captain at 21, gave a 17 year old his debut at Man U. I bet the Tractor Boys are glad Duty of Care never existed back then.

I think he has exceeded expectations, he has fitted into the squad very well, doesnt look out of place, and has ad a very hard introduction into Super League, vs Saints and Leeds!

Flanagan has done well up to now but lets not get carried away,we still need some experience in the pack and i would not complain if he is left out for Bailey next week. His time will come.

I agree with you OH but Mark Flannagan should not be in that position. He should have played more game by now. As should Liam Farrell

He's not exactly one of "our" youngsters in that sense though, he's a Bradford Academy product.

True Geoff. Although I think he has been here for 3 years now. We will count him :)

OK. :D

Actually, it seems a bit odd that Nobby signed him, given his aversion to youngsters.

I`ve not seen Flanagan that much , until the last two games , he`s been very strong in the tackle and fearless .
I hope we don`t lose another good young player because Noble won`t until he has too play him .
Give him a contract now and let Bailey go .
I know Bailey is an ex OZZY tourist but he`s on too big a contract I know we can`t keep everyone so someone has got to go .

Can we afford to leave Flanagan out of the squad with the injury to Goulding.
I would rather have Bailey as back up in the centres than Karl Pryce.
If Bailey is fit, still have Flanagan in the squad & drop Pryce.
Flanagan has had two solid games against tough opposition in the last two weeks. He has proven he can cope with SL.
