Massive brainfart in signing Roberts for 4 years! Absolute madness... I can't see where/when Ainscough will get his proper chance. Based on his form when he has played in the first team, he definately deserves a chance in the first team, but I can't see him pushing past Richards or Roberts to get a steady position.

To be honest i think there was a personal issue Nobby had with Ainscough Kat. Either way if he is good enough im sure MM will identify that and dont forget Shaun Wane has seen him all season and can see the quality he has.

I would hope the decision lies with IL as in this way, the chairman buys the player, the coach trains them. Hope it isnt the other way round in this case.
I don’t think a coach can plan a 2010 squad around someone who may or may not be available at the end of the 2011 season.
It pains me to say it but I don’t believe we will ever see Hock in a Wigan shirt again. Given the timing that the ban expires – mid way through the 2011 RL season / perfect timing for RU pre-season – I expect he will be snapped up by a Union side when the ban expires.
Add to this the fact that he will not have had an income (from rugby) in 2 years, and he could recoup his 2 years off in one year playing RU. Playing in a different environment / location could possibly help him revitalise his career. At the risk of re-opening the “RU to RL props debate†I think with the right coach he could well be playing 6 or 8 in the England RU side in 3 years
Not saying I want to see this happen, but if Hock’s agent is not looking at this option for his client, than he should be fired.

Regarding Hock I would assess the state of the team in 2011 and not make any firm promises about a place back in the squad now.
It could well be the likes of Mossop, Farrell and J Tomkins will have established themselves as top first team players who can command a decent wage by then.
So along with Lockers and Hansen we will have competition for places and it hardly seems fair on these players for one of them to be pushed aside for Hock. I am assuming here that the three young players will have developed into class players in their own right. If they have who should not get a deal? One of the players who did nothing other than develop into a class player over a season and a half while Hock was out or the one who let everyone down?
If these lot are playing well and Hock comes back in and isn't a class above, it will look pretty bad if he is getting games and one of them is not IMO.
