Coming into this game Lima averaged more metres per game than any of our others props, more metres per carry and more tackles per game. Have you really seen nothing to persuade you that Lima is better than Feka, because he's been our most effective prop this year without a doubt.
I notice nobody criticises Coley, but his performances this year have been unspectacular and with a low work rate.

Quoting average meters per game for a player who has been banned for two games when we have played so few games isn't much of an argument. Also to say what you say about Coley is ridiculous. He was one of the best forwards on the park v St. George and had a good game today. Of the two he has been the better player despite what the statistics say.

That said I have no problems with Lima over Feka. I had hoped Madge & Co would get him to be a to prop but for whatever reason it didn't happen and looking at him now at Salford he is way off the pace.

Far too early to make cast iron judgements on Lima but his efforts have been better than Feka's ever were or will be.
On current form we must be watching a different Lima here.
Seen nothing to persuade me why he is here and Feka has gone.
We must be thinking of a different Feka, because the one that was here was absolutely dreadful and could barely last 15 minutes at most without getting out of breath, didn't do anywhere near enough work in defence and was lacking in any 'impact' for a so called impact player.

Perhaps it's just because Lima is the new boy and replacing a 'fan favourite' whereas Coley's been at the club a few years and everybody likes him.
ridiculous comments about Coley. Did you not watch the game against St George - 39 tackles for a prop who is not on the pitch for the fullgame! Fantastic work rate. Coley is solid every game and is certainly not a fans favourite , he takes plenty of criticism on this board. Lima is currently poor, especially in defence. Falling off tackles left right and center. I hope he improves with time.

i have not been overly impressed by lima but like people are saying it is early days. The match when feka ran over the hull fc team was a few years ago. I think it was 2006.

Your comparing a new player that as not settled in yet to a play made 5 years ago. The game has moved on since then. Lima did a few good runs today and made some go yards. Our forwards domonated Hull Fc today. We made good yards forward and tackled well down the middle of the park. Good work all round in the pack.

You watched a totally different game to me :eh:

Hull made far more yards with their sets and more breaks/half breaks from the forwards.

Our forwards were a poor second best to Hulls - especially the front row.

Definitely Lima. Feka is a great guy and Wigan through and through. If Feka had played for us yesterday then we would have lost.

So far I'm not impressed with Lima, yesterday I thought he was at best average getting bumped off in tackles & not making many yards. But you have to give him time and 3 games isn't enough to judge him of. I also trust Madges judgement and if he rates Lima then I'm sure he will come good.

I do think we miss certain elements of Fekas play like his barnstorming runs that did lift the team at times, but sadly not enough to have kept him. One last thing how can anyone critisies Coley for his work rate I beyond me.

I agree too, I can't fathom why Coley was given coaches MOM. As for Lima's defence it was poor and he was falling of tackles but at least he was slowing players down enough for someone else to tackle him. Feka used to just stick his arm out and miss or just go in as third man. If Feka had been on the pitch 3 times longer every game then the comparison between him and Lima would be valid. As it stands Lima wins hands down imo. Don't forget we have lost matches because the rest of our props have been overworked as a result of Feka's lack of fitness.
