there are a lot of players out there as good as the ones retiring/leaving though I will be sad to see Tommy go & Finch if he indeed does I feel we should really try to keep him.We have a lot of young players on not a lot of money who will be wanting pay rises as well though it will be a balancing act to keep under the salary cap.

I'm quietly confident Finchy will stay. And with money freed up from Amos, George, Tommy, Jeff and Stu, we should be able to make a marquee signing and improve the young lads' contracts!

Whilst I am sorry they are all going the only one I have any sort of issue with is Lima and I am both surprised and disappointed in him at the same time as he seems to be playing much better under Waney than he ever did under Madge and doing it with a smile on his face into the bargain but such is life so don't forget to close the door on your way out Jeff.
The days when Wigan didn't renew contracts when a player got to a certain stage of his career seem a long way off now and the boot appears to be on the other foot but I have every faith in our current management - we'll be reet don't worry guys.

Big Jeff said in the Wigan observer that he is only leaving because his wife is missing her family and he had to think of her. He said she was so homesick last year that they almost went back then. He also kept telling her just to give it a bit longer in the hope she would settle.
Family comes first and if this is true I am sure he is doing exactly what we all would do??? Good luck to him.
