He was injured against Catalan. He was hoping to be fit but did not recover in time. Following his injury he was given a 2-4 week recovery period. I can tell you that he was not a happy bunny on Friday night. He was a major loss and in my view we would have won had he played.

No one liked Fielden especially Mcilorum and Hock, and he is gone and if it is trye about Finch he is also going so hopefully peace and harmony will return :conf:

Not true but even if it was then Waney would not have dropped anyone or he would now be looking for a new job!

If I was coach then I wouldn't want peace and harmony. I would want players that would have a go at others that are not pulling their weight.

Going too far in training will affect performances on the pitch , Good team spirit is what is needed and all you have to do is look over the pennines to realise that

Would SW not want to try and keep Tomkins injury hush hush from Brian McDermott WF ?

The injury was made public the moment the squad was announced containing Jack Murphy.

Thats a fair comment.
Do you think that Sam Tomkins was in the squad but not playing because of injury or because of fighting with Brett Finch ?

Even if there had been a scuffle, do you think that Wane would have dropped the most lethal attacking threat in British RL, and gone with a half back who, whilst vastly experienced hasn't been consistently outstanding throughout the season? Instead of giving them both a bollocking and telling them to just get on with it?
Personally, I agree with the claim that Tomkins was injured, there can be no other (sensible) reason at all, as to why he didn't play.

Personally I think that Sam was injured, however, just asking the question of someone who appers in the know of his opinion.
