Seems fair enough to me. If you don't want the ban, don't throw the second punch.
Seems comparable to TNs ban, and although the damge done wasn't as great the potential for injury was extreme.
LH's ban is too low, but its due to the media situation. I'd prefer his to have been dealt with correctly, but on the Flower side I think this is reasonable.

I thought he would get approx 10 games. It works out as 10 league games, the WCC match and the friendlies. Probably about right. (Stands back and waits)

So to simplify this further:-
Hohaia for what he did gets a 1 day ban!!
Flower gets a 6 month ban!!
Yep you are right the RFL don't have it in for us!!

Your strategy would be...?
The outcome you expect would be...?
Let me fill that in for you.
Strategy: Argue that Flower was justified and that LHs punishment should be equivalent both in public and at teh RFL.
Outcome: be pilloried in the national press even more, get an even bigger ban. Gain nothing. Lose more.

Why Mike? Flower threw 2 punches Neither punch did any serious damage. A week previous a man punched a player 4 times and receive 10 minutes. The world has gone mad!

Think the RFL have once again p&ssed everyone off. The usual suspects are saying he's been let off lightly, whilst 12 games seems harsh.
In the circumstances 8 games would have been more than enough and Hohaia should have got at least 3.
