"It's a shame he seems to have lost that electric pace he had but he still has a lot to offer!"
Its only his 2nd game back so give him time-he may well have lost a bit of pace but a bit too early to say-he would be daft to really push it at this early stage.I feared the worst but assuming & hoping he doesn't break down I think we'll see a consistent improvement and impact.

What he does is rather simple. He creates fear as he has pace off the mark and keeps it going. He has the ability to go through a gap which frightens defenders to death. So they will back off at times and that leads to space for others. Given his passing skills it creates tries as well. As you said its up to others to step up to his level.
Sounds like an ideal stand off to me.

Providing he's free of injury I think we will see a faster Sam Tomkins as the season progresses, and could be even faster next season with a good pre-season winter session.
In the short term Sam has been back playing, his training will have been more based on stamina and strength, especially for his injured leg. You can't get true speed without having the stamina and strength to back it up and I guess Sam has only been running for one month to six weeks?

One thing we need to do is get the team playing for him, I'd be saying if you see him with the ball run options around him.
Like I said I still feel Sam is better in the halves as his passing is good and he tends to pick the right option which can be seen in his link play. I think the way we play under wane doesn't lend itself to a free roaming fullback like it did under wane.
Adding to this we don't have a Blake green or Brett finch anymore who can pick him out.
If I were wane I'd want his hands on the ball as much as possible and I think the halves is better for the than full back

I have said I wanted to be entertained by classy player when others maybe one person said accept less, a silly comment!
Well no I will not accept less and this guy brings class with the ball and class when he hasn't.
Thanks Sam for making the game I love entertaining again, may it long continue.
Thank you

While its far too early to see the long term effects will have on his game one thing is very clear,he's talking to the team something that simply didnt seem to be happening a couple of weeks ago and at the moment thats a good thing to see as far too often this season in particular the heads drop and no one communicates with each other.

Sam is a champion player, his will to win is second to no one and therefore he will have a positive effect on our team. If he stays injury free he will be a real handful for all our opponents.

Agree in principle with your comments. I would love him to be our Captain next season. No disrespect of Sol. He has/is been emense but his body can't keep taking the hammering RL dishes out. Time for him to join SW'S coaching team. He could very well be a future Wigan head coach.
