As I said as regards Marshall, Davies looks like he wants to be at Wigan as does Isa. That is fine by me.

Isa has put in some good performances this season that have gone along way to dispelling my doubts about him and I have no doubts about both wingers anyway. I think they are already playing very well and are exciting to watch.

I think there may also be a sense of realism with both club and players here. Isa knows he's not going to get an NRL gig and I think the same applies to the wingers at this point in time for them at least. That being so there is nothing to stop the club signing them up and paying them what they are worth which won't be an extortionate wage.

While these signings are good what we can't be doing is not competing for players who can command a better wage due to the interest other SL clubs. We can't expect success on the cheap and I will say the same as I said as regards Sam T elsewhere as a general point. That is there are few class players around in SL and if we have any of them, then the club needs to be prepared to pay to keep them. It's competing on a level playing field with other SL clubs so it's not got any excuse not to.

I am sure these three signings have gone down very well across the board. I have not seen one person complain about any of them on here, rlfans or facebook groups (though to be fair I have not looked that hard!). However the club needs to be careful it doesn't spoil it all by failing to tie up the likes of Gildard if they have the opportunity (i.e. its not competing with the NRL).

To lose Gildhart to the scum will be unforgivable in my eyes and I suspect I won't be alone in that.
Wayne's we'll make another statement will be shown up for the stupid b.s. comment it is given as he is the only half decent centre we've got!

I don't see where all the anger has come from. Davies is really good, and likely to get better. He is a joy to watch. This news is about Davies, not the rest of the squad.
However, IF THEY SELL THE WHOLE SQUAD AND PLAY JUST THE 3 PLAYERS WHO RE-SIGNED THIS WEEK, I WILL TEAR UP MY SEASON TICKET!!!

This is the entire squad. IL is so tight he has decided to keep his hands in his pockets and let the other 32 players go. As ever, we will wait ages for him to announce it. They don't even return my calls.

The thread may well be about Davies but Sutton and Gildhart were mentioned Exiled if you choose to look.
I await the bad news now because it will surely be brewing.

Hang on! My prediction is that it's much more likely to be good news around the corner rather than bad.

I don't really see the logic in people thinking some bombshell is upcoming.

Re Gildart, there's shades of the Gary Connelly transfer here but in reverse. Gary didn't ask Saints for the earth, just an improvement on his apprentice salary, and possibly a car.
We won out on that and Saints will be on a winner if this deal should go through.

I'm glad the thread title wasn't "More Bad News". Try this quote from Marvin the paranoid android:
"My capacity for happiness, you could fit into a matchbox without taking out the matches first”.

Feel better now?

Perhaps if you where a bit closer to the hub you'd here more that's going on!
Most rumours on here are in the no smoke without fire drawer because somebody has leaked it!
I personally won't see Sam leaving as anything as bad news, now fine if you think it's good, that's your choice!!
