First, anyone who says that they 'like' Doris needs to make sure that they keep their backs close to the wall on nights out !
Second Doris is very cute, IM was the only person who could fit the Wigan criteria when Betts ****** up, therefore it was a Hobsons choice type of descision.
Betts has now gone, and if Doris had the 'balls' he would have gone long ago, he just waited for IM to do his dirty work for him, Doris is not the correct type of person to front our club, it's supposed to be a macho 'blood and thunder' sport, not a meetin place for girl guide lookalikes, (he even sounds like a girl guide) the mans an embarassment to our sport !
The current behind the scenes activity will not be seen untill next March / April I just hope it is Doris who goes, and not IM.
But we know Doris, nothing is ever his fault, he always has a scapegoat on the payrole, hope IM 'watches his back' !

I agree, i think that the relationship between Maurice and Ian will either be rosey and everything fantastic in the world of Wigan, or it could prove to be very volitile. It all depends if Maurice sticks to his word and does give full control to Ian. You have two very strong characters, who are proabably better working independantly of one another and left to their own jobs and devices.
i hope it works out and doesnt become a clash of two massive egos i hope ml leaves the team matters to millward after all it will be millward who gets the stick off the supporters if it all goes boobs up

Hoe long has he been gay?? :doz:
Let's not talk about sexuality, it's nowt to do with anything and doesn't affect the way he manages/doesn't manage the club.

I have said many times in previous posts that the biggest problem at our Club is the Chairman.
Sure he has appointed IM (or was he tolds to by DW?)
He also appointed Big Frank (sacked), Stuart Raper (sacked) Poor Mike Gregory (a very sick man) and Denis Betts (replaced if not sacked).
When he left Wigan, Big Frank said that the Club was a dictatorship with one man making all the decisions. I think that DW occasionally puts his oar in and INSTRUCTS Doris what to do. The other 99% of his time is devoted to Latics.
Don't forget it was DW who came on local radio following the appointment of IM to tell us that the town of Wigan now had the best football coach in the country and the best RL coach in the country. He described it as 'a moyh-watering prospect0.
WNAC was right over Betts (who should never have been appointed) and he is right over the Chairman.
A couple of years ago he said his ambition was a team of Wigan players 'with a Gene Miles bolted on'.
He's got rid of a Wigan team over the last couple of seasons and replaced them with some of the most ordinary overseas players at any club.
Incidentally, another post said that he was responsible for bringing Botica to Central Park. He wasn't! Jack Wobinson was.

Had a nice holiday then WNAC or have you stoped taking the tablets.
Doris during his previous stinit he had done a good job but we had not have any real competion when we went full time pro. Look at Chelsa now they will dominate everything for a while until they get some real competition and can financially keep up.
They say never go back and in Doris's case i think the saying is true. We have had a new coach almost every 18 months since SL has been up and running. Weve won fewer trophies and player quality from the NRL has been on the whole poor. Doris was responsible for brining in most if not all of them.
But he can get away with it by getting rid of a coach. Now in his second run at the club weve won .
1 GF
1 CC
7 coaches
1 Chairman.
Now i think if we struggle next year then it should be:
2 Chairman.

Nonsense. If ML wanted to carry on as a dictator as many seem to think he is, Millward was the last man to appoint. He is about as far away from that criteria as you could get.

And just what behind the scenes activity is that?
But we know Doris, nothing is ever his fault, he always has a scapegoat on the payrole,
I think they are called "the coach". Unless you live in another world you know very well that if a team fails the coach gets the chop. Oh hang on, that is what happened to Betts! Or did you miss it? This is true at any club, not just Wigan so I really don't know whjat your point is.
