Why would he sign????? pparently all he wanted prior to turning pro was to sign for wigan, there still may be a big pull and the fact that bradford are in dire strits money wise may have something to do with it. but really you think they would let him go this early in the season??????Matthew posted:
Loads - all of them on RLFans and the BBC site - if you think it's true then get down the bookies and stick a wedge of cash on it - the odds would be staggering...
Why would Deacon leave the a club that he has been at for as long as I can remember; that are the current Super League and World Club Champions, mid way through the season to come to a team that are at the bottom of super league?

Please keep the silly rumours in one place please.
Re: deacon
I hesitate to fuel what's likely to turn out to be another silly rumour, but for all those wondering why a player would be released by a top club mid-way through the season, all you need to consider is how that club's finances stand. And Bradford is not exactly a rumour-free zone when it comes to stories about financial trouble. As to why a player like PD would come to a struggling club like Wigan ... possibly for the one thing Wigan have currently got plenty of, money.

You can't beat a good rumour!! This one has some merit. Wigan boy comes home. We have the cash, Bradford are skint. Terry comes back for the Bulls and Henderson moves to scrum half.We need a half back. A recognised kicker means no reliance on Tickle. Oh yes, lot's of good reasons for hoping this one actually happens!!

Re: deacon
We currently have a scrum half in Moran who I would imagine is earning big money. We also have Brown to cover for the injured Orr.
Whilst the above paragraph is depressing to read it seems unlikely that Deacon would be brought in - even IF he were available; especially considering how highly IM is supposed to rate Brown

Re: deacon
I know Deacon's girlfiend, he lives in Wigan, his family are in Wigan and his girlfriend is in Wigan. All his family support Wiagn and if anyone heard Wish Fms rugby league last year when he was on, his Nan rang up to say she always cheers for Wigan even when they are playing Bradford and shes wishes he played for them.
Deacon has said in the past, he would like to play for Wigan, but has never been given the chance. This was last season, unlikely he would now lol.

My dad said On the radio lancashire rugby league prog on weds night one of the people on it said wigan have sighed someone who lives in wigan and plays in yorkshire but they were not allowed to say who because the manchester evening news has exclusive rights on story as soon as deal is fianlised. Did anyone else here this or is my dad talking rubbish.
Re: deacon
I've heard something similar, Pieaddict, but I wouldn't count my chickens yet. This story still seems highly unlikely to me.
Re: deacon
I was just wondering if anyone was listening and knows what was said. if so can they say on here
cheers
cheers
Re: deacon
Hasn't Moran played full-back in the past? It's a position where we're lacking in experienced cover, Millward not wanting to push Ashton too much in his first year in the senior squad, and creates a space at scrum-half...Matthew posted:
