from mo,s statement on the offical site it looks like noble will be here on monday and taking over soon after. he also says the trent barrett deal is still on and that other world class players have contacted the club wishing to play for us next year

Please God, don't let people at the club see posts like this and assume that it's a view representative of all Wigan fans.

DW could have ditched Wigan RL a long time ago. He hasn't because he's a long-term fan.

Yes, he's poured much more cash into the football, but that's because he's allowed to. I also have it on good authority that he's often strenuously defended his interest in Wigan RL when he's attended Latics fans meetings. (You can be a genuine supporter of both codes, you know).

Please don't starting maligning the man who may currently be the only thing between us and oblivion.
whelan long term fan, don't make me laugh

Think your living in the past mate.

if it wasn't for DW and ML we would be in div 2 and ground sharing with Orrell.

Despite the fact ML was Managing Director of Superleague in 1997 when Westy left Wigan? :conf:

It's all thanks to him that we've even got a ground to be driven into...

I remember seeing Whelan at Wigan matches, sitting in the vice presidents area, when Latics were an unsuccessful twinkle in Bill Kenyon's eye.

Sorry if this isn't what you want to hear, but Whelan was at Central Park as a fan long before the glory years even began, and I'm a witness who was there.
