Wigan will always attract the fans simply because of their fame. My daughter's boyfriend lives in Sydney, Australia and the news that Wigan are fighting to stay in Super League is MASSIVE to say the least. It is safe to say that if anyone who doesn't follow the game of rugby league anywhere in the rugby league world will invariably mention Wigan, simply because they are the most famous team in rugby league. Ever.

Long may it continue. Wigan R.L.F.C. forever.
Think you may be right about Australia, but don't lets start kidding ourselves that we are well known anywhere else bar Aus and NZ maybe.
The tide has definitely turned towards the Latics unfortunately.
I travel throughout Europe with my job and wherever I have been this year people are mentioning the Latics when I say I come from Wigan.
It got that bad toward the end of their season, I started to say I was from Manchester.
I suppose we have to give it to them, they have had a fantastic season.

I think it helps that their ball is round when there are just a couple of you having a kick about.
There's nowt more annoying than the bloody thing bouncing all over the place when you fail to catch it and have to peg after it.

Well I never, I thought this site was a RL only site, and all mentions of The Latics or Football were frowned upon, and the authors sent to the gallows.
It will not be long and you will be coming with the first convert (GreenViagra) and myself to watch the boys in blue

In any case, there'll be one less than usual as I'm at a wedding that day (why do people never check the fixture lists before getting married? I've got some more friends getting married the day of the Bradford home match on 1st September...)
Be a man not a Fraggle, Fraggle. Dump the wedding, just go for the free food and booze afterwards at the reception
