For Lyon, they probably looked at the fact that he has never been sent off in the past and it would have been his first ban.

I didn't think it was all that bad. It didn't look much different to Korkidas' incident the other week. I am probably going to be corrected by people on here. Burrow is about 3'6" and Lyon must be about 5'10" I know he jumped at him but it wasn't more than a second or so late. Like Luke robinsons angel said it was his first sending off and they were probably a bit lenient. I noticed Daniel Anderson mouthed "oh Jamie" when he got the card but there wasn't any complaints from Lyon or the coach. I don't know what Brough said to the ref but there is no place in our game for lambasting the ref. especially after a sending off, he didn't really help his cause, did he?

After watching the incident on the telly I think the officials have got it right, I don’t think he made an attempt to do any damage he tried to knock him of his game. We see this all the time and its part of our great sport.

It hurts me to say that about a snake player but that’s how I saw it.

He'll feature in the tri nations
Pretty lenient, I'd say, given his previous record.
