:( It says something when two players were found gulty of dangerous tackles and get off with no suspension but one player verbally abuses a novice referee and gets 2 matches

I wasn't suprised at the Lyon incident. I was in two minds whether there was any malice in the late hit. Equally I wouldn't have been suprised if he'd got a 2 match ban.

Ian I know what you are saying but which matters most, the safety of the players or upsetting an official ???

There is no doubt he was guilty, the video showed he hit Burrow late and high.

What was in question was the severity of the challenge though. That was what I wasn't sure about.

dont think that they were in to punishing people today as Rob Roberts of Leigh also didnt get a ban and he was cited at final against HKR for trying rip a lads eyes out (sorry cant spell the technical term) :eusa16:

So it's okay to almost take a guys head off in a late challenge but you must not swear at an official?, it's pathetic really.
If you think back to the Fletcher incident what was the difference ? they both had the elbow raised, one gets three matches the other gets nothing?, i think it's about time the RFL got it sorted.
