I believe Wigan are getting 'back' to be a top 4 side again for next season. Nex years Wigan team isnt ideal... thats what we have to look for in 2008 when the likes of vaealiki leave.
Looking at things, is 2007 going to be a stronger squad compared to 2006?

I don't know aabout a stronger squad. I think the emphasis is on a more stable squad. Look at all the comings and goings last year, admittedly we had to panic buy to get through our rough patch when everyone seemed to be injured.
I was speaking to an ex-saints player at the golf club last week and he reckons we will be the team to beat this year. I disagree with him in that I think we may finish 3rd but for me 4th or 5th would be acceptable. then as someone else pointed out, in 2008 when Vaeliki and a couple of the other big money players that are robbing a living have gone, we can do some great recruitment and really push for 1st in the superleague, a grand final win and the challenge cup. until then I just hope we are looked favourably on by the injury jinx and don't struggle too much.
