Re: Average home attendanc...
5,000 to 10,000 were visiting supporters?! Chelsea brought 3,000 tops. The away end (North Stand) holds 5,000, end of story. Anyway, you should know that, seeing as Warrington and St Helens regularly fill it giving you your only crowds of the season that match Latics'.
Warriors fans supporters for life? The season you went down, your average fell to below 7,000. Latics got more on that season in the old Division 4. Or are you too young to remember? Stil, quite a few 10,000 averages in recent memory as well.

Don't get so upset, we all know you are just Man U fans that can't get tickets for Old Trafford

Re: Average home attendanc...
Loads of fans turned up on the day and purchased tickets for the West and East Stands on the day. As the biggr clubs sell their allocation for games easily. So theyll come up and buy tickets at the JJB.im_a_cuckoo posted:

Even against HKR out attendance held up. Its only a matter of time before we get 20,000+ on a regular basis. Success breeds success.
Sorry about mentioning success youve never won a real trophy have you.

Re: Average home attendanc...
cockoo, feast your eyes on this.
2004/2005 Average Crowd = 11,155 in Football League Championship
2005 Average Crowd = 13,894 in Super League (Europe)
wait theres more!
2006 Average Crowd = 14,464 in Super League (Europe)
2005/2006 Average Crowd = 20,904 in F.A. Premier League
it's clear to see your attendances only increased when you were promoted. also your attendances fell from 6,774 in 2000/01 to 5,771 in 2001/02. you were in the same league to! no relegation inolved!
our attendance seems to be increasing every week now in the same league. only time you seem to increase is through promotion, you ahd tog et to the premiership to beat our averages. will be interesting to see your averages come the end of the season, ive seen many empty seats this season considering your a premiership club.

I don't normally comment in threads like this and I dare say I'll end up locking it sooner or later but I could not let the above pass.im_a_cuckoo posted:
.....especially when you've had one freakishly high one (thanks to the 5,000 visitors from Warrington).
The Warrington attendance was not "freakishly high" at all. It is the normal sort of gate we will get playing them at home because Warrington are now quite a well supported club in their own right. So that sized crowd is normal for that fixture.
Also given the fact latics rely on away fans to get the average crowd up it is a bit rich mentioning that game as something out of the ordinary due to the away support.

Re: Average home attendanc...

I am not interested in comparing it to Wigan Athletic. Nor despite following Wigan Athletic am I interested in reading about them here. If I want to read about them I go to a forum for that sport/club.

We are in the top 2-3 attended games in the Rugby League World. Whilst Latics are in the bottom 2 in the premiership.
