Well OK then he could simply say I am not going to be taking the job of being coach of Souths in 2012 given that is in the here and now, never mind just round the corner. It would not stop speculation about other jobs if they became available but he could take each one as it comes and it would put this to bed.

(Given he has a contract with us for three years he should just have done that anyway).

Note that isn't denying every rumour that crops up, only the ones that get to the fever pitch we have here.

I meant moreso how he announced in 2010 that he would be returning to Australia, created a downturn in results/form for Hudds and then when there were no takers for him in the NRL he opten to stay at Hudds and in 2011 IMO they have thus far been the best RL team ?

This sort of shitty public relations that the club has about these things really pisses me off. In essence we are share holders as season ticket holder, we pay to be a part of the club. We should be properly informed by the club, not this “no comment” crap they shovel out like dung from a cart. Publicly deny or tell us what is going on !

I have to say I do not see the parallel unless you subscribe to the theory the reason we have been poor recently is down to an unsettled camp due to the rumour over Madge.

Are you suggesting if he has gone it is not announced because the form will drop if its announced he is leaving? That is it would be best to let the players think he was here for three years? If so that won't work as the speculation just won't stop and I reckon Souths would let slip sooner rather then later to pacify their fans anyway. It's not just Wigan and Madge who can make press releases.

I don't really know what you are driving at if it is not this.
