Don't know whether he played there for the Bulls but I think had Sarge been fit, you would not have seen Bateman at centre anyway. So it will be interesting to see what Wane does once Sarge is fit.

Will he go with what some would say is the best centre pairing of Bateman and Gildart or will he revert to playing Sarge? It's a particularly intriguing selection dilemma for the cup fixture v Wire if both are fit.
Really Dave, only you could twist an excellent Wane decision into a stroke of blind good luck. You have excelled yourself. ????
Given Sarge is injured Wane didn't decide anything. Who else was he going to pick? If he did make a conscious decision to drop Sarge, I presume now as Wane must have clearly decided Bateman is one of his first choice centers Sarge will take no further part in the campaign even if fit?

I go away fro one damned weekend, the first time this season I haven't either watched a game live, or heard it on the radio, and all hell breaks loose; best performance of the season, Wane leaving...

Just watched the whole game on Wigan TV. Great team performance, just about everyone had a least a decent game, with Sam T and Bateman outstanding, Marshall did great against Charnley, other than the dangerous tackle. Very pleasing, and sets us up for the Cup tie.

I'm sorry and surprised to hear of Shaun Wane leaving, he has been a wonderful servant to the club. He will be hard to replace, but I guess it's exciting times now in the future for the Warriors.
