Back from the game, and I'm thankful for the several pints I drank from the two pint pots provided by the bar at Wakey. And before anyone tells me, I know that 7 is not divisible by 2.

From the outset, I didn't think we would win given the loss of players we had, but, there is no excuse for failing to tackle with regularity we displayed today. On the occasions that we had the ball, we never, ever looked like we would break their line, let alone score. Even with the problems we obviously have, we should have been a lot better than clueless. For all the talk we have about the injuries/illness, we were playing Wakefield, not Wire or Stains, and I dread to think what would have happened if it had been.

There can be no excuse for a display like that. Why were we steamrolled in the forwards we had mossop, clubb. powell and tomkins 4 experienced Wigan players and a NRL recruit in Isa. Therefore, we had only 1 forward who you could class as inexperienced,Sutton. Ok we were short of experience in the backs but forwards should be dictating the game.We also had an international scrum half playing behind that pack. Serious questions need to be asked and some difficult decisions made. Do these players deserve to be playing in the Wigan shirt? I would suspect at least 3 need to be replaced at the end of the season. Fingers crossed that we get some players back for Cas

Sutton at loose forward was bizarre IMO. We had Burke and Tea Towel on the bench.

I'm pretty sure SW has another year to go after this. Can't honestly see him going anywhere until then so we'll be on square pegs and round holes for a bit yet.

He will never walk so unless IL boots him we are stuck with him. People scoffed at my Jack Gibson, 3 years no more at a club but Wane has been here too long; maybe McDermott too at Leeds.

Looking at your 3 year rule, then McDermott would have left before he won the treble last season!!
