Thank you
Whilst I understand your perplexion at the thread meandering a little, a comment was made that Ratchford was "in contract" and that was pretty much the end of the rumour. Now as we know (and have seen millions of times in the past) contracts been NOTHING!
Taylor was mentioned as an example (and by the way Jaws it is you that is a millions miles off)
Don't give two hoots what he told you in person but that guy wanted and felt he was deserving of a big pay rise after his first season performances and fan support. He didn't get it, so was accused of not making the effort in training. That could be described as "forced out" but in my book meant he didn't get his own way. The "injury" he picked up was not the reason he didn't play, he was fully fit but "out of favour" at that point due to his demands.
Now if you can prove this guy doesn't like good money and has not signed on at a mediocre team like Hull because of the chance for a big pay deal and signing on fee then I bow to your superior knowledge

Said before, Ratchford is a decent SL player and would offer more to Wigan than most of our current three-quarters (bar Manfredi and Burgess).
Cannot see him playing full back BUT would offer cover should Sam not play, lack of quality centres appears to be the issue and I can see (if this goes ahead) then one of those positions will be his

According to Mr Lenegan in the Q&A on Wigan TV we aren't signing Ratchford although he would like to!!

he can kick as well!!! a very good signing if it comes off if you ask me - paly him at 6 and put George back to dummy half where he is ment to play. I am afraid Powell and rocky may have had there chance we have Jamie Durran is it waiting for his shot as well he seems a good promising talent

Why move George he's not a hooker? He will be a regular halfback for years to come. As for Rocky and Powell neither has had a fair shot at halfback, so in my view the jury is still out. Doran is a decent player, one I think it more suited to hooker - I have not seen him during his time with Workington so I can't comment on his improvement.

I don't want to move George he is a hooker and was - Jamie Doran is a 6 so why should he move to 9? 6 is just a number you play players to their strengths George even says he is a better dummy half he loves broken play and mixing it in the middle. anyone can play 6 take Wilkins for example hahahaha. why shouldn't rocky or Powell get a chance at 6 to find our best combination - because Geogre has a 6 on his back or because he's now a fan favourite and the new poster boy of wigan
if you think we have stability meds you must be watching another team the saints game showed we are far from stable!

Big fish in a small pond at wire, but perhaps not at Wigan.
