Wigan have underachieved since Madge left.

Wane has gone backwards as well by not winning trophies.

We have gone from signing proven quality to players to signing players Wane and Wigan can build and improve. 4 years on, where are we now? In the same position....

Is Tomkins going to be a success?
Charnley raises a lot of questions.
No idea about how Gelling, Sarginson, Gildart will be in the centres.
Smith really has gone backwards.
MM still being spelled which is killing us.
Tomkins really hasn't done it since coming back.
Lockers injuries and now form problems.
Tautai hasn't really done it.
Mossop has the potential but looks a bit of a lump and has lost speed and his ability to dominate and win the floor.

Why are we in this position after 4 years in charge? 4 years of transition. We are back to square one and in the same position because we keep losing players, employing the same tactics, signing unproven players that take a while to adjust and signing players that are simply not good enough.

This is my 1st time on here and im very confused if this is a fan's site or a haters site for Wigan Warriors ???

Nathan please correct me if im wrong but has Shaun Wane won the Grand Final and the Challenge since Madge left ?? So how is this a backwards move.

Also reading some of the posts are some people actually fans or people who just want to have a dig at the chairman / coach / players and if the knew them the people who clean the kit or boots.

I do wonder with there comments if they had the money to buy the club what a sad state we would be in it they were in control as nothing ever seems good enough.

The Double Win was an inherited side in my opinion, all that's all folks' comments are, opinions!
Now I'm not happy with SW because all though he comes across as a very passionate bloke, as I suspect the 8,000 season ticket holders on the terraces are, that doesn't necessarily cut it when it comes to coaching a supposedly top class RL team in both instances!!

So do we not have the right to be annoyed at constantly finishing 2nd best, losing our best youngsters and signing project players?

Every thing that goes wrong is Wane's fault and everything he did ok was inherited. That is the way I read it. And I have had a go on Wane at times but for some its a way of life.

As for your last part for most would run the club to the ground as it almost was done once.

welcome to the board.

PS.

Thinking of sending in for a new shirt to be commissioned.

Eat
Sleep
Wanebashing time.

I agree we do but this season we are going into it in a stable position. First time since 2010. If we lose another GF and not win the LLS or the CC then questions need to be asked of IL and SW.

I was eating my sausage in batter and chips outside OT on Saturday and a Wigan fan in the 2013 commemorative shirt stood in front of me. It was then I realised how many players we have lost and actually we have done well to get to 2 GF considering the disruption that has caused.

Project players I agree with SW you take a risk especially if they are better than you have in the side or about to leave the academy sides. I think players like TT and Lauaki are no longer to be touched. Isa I think is a decent player will go better than those 2.

Players like Clubb would be my exception to this as when I listened to his first interview with WarriorsTV you knew his form dropped as he was really disheartened at London.

As for getting top draw players I reckon Sam is top drawer by SL standard but I agree we need a couple more.

But if we in 12 months win noting then it will be a time for either changing the coach or policy.

Thanks gimble

If you read the comments from Brian McDermott after the gf he has nothing but praise for Wigan as we have a team of near Wigan lads and not brought in any NRL players like most teams. Agree we must do better next year and be more consistent but not many have so young squads with the experience they have at there ages.

I guess time will tell I suppose

He was very polite wasn't he after winning the treble and did say the path Wigan were following was not one he would take.

Not to worry though as IL said, Leeds are finished and the next 3 years are our. A treble treble!

Perhaps it would be helpful all around if all these generally anonymous people who openly criticise most things that the Chairman and the Coach do (or do not do) were to sit down and meet the two of them eye to eye and put their points to them? I am merely a Wigan Rugby fan since February 1961 and would not have a clue how to coach and/or manage Wigan Rugby League so I am happy to trust those who do.

Do not think that would be a good idea.

Season starts in 4 months.
