I don't mind who gets it as long as they are mentally tough. The only problem I have with O'Loughlin is it seems to have affected his own game in an attacking sense, it seems to me in internationals he plays with more freedom than he does with us.
I read that Phil Clarke doesn't believe captaincy means much any more but I disagree. It comes with an amount of pressure as proven by the number of fans debating the subject. I also believe certain players will look to a captain for inspiration whether it be by his will to win, his commitment to the team or his performance/ability to raise his performance when time are hard.
If Hock can deal with that pressure and still play his natural game to it's best then why not?
