He will never walk. He believes in himself. Albeit his self belief is diproportionate to his coaching ability.

There is 7 games to play IMO after the st helens game noble as 6 games to try out sam tomkins/mossop [only had 14 mins so far]stanton to see if they are upto SL.

Getting a bit tired of his excuses his excuse today we had no ball in the second half listening on the radio we were our worst enemy on this one dropping passes and forward passes, penalties.
I was a Nobby fan but my patience is running out with him rapidly there is no pride left in the Wigan shirt anymore and its the coaches job to iron out all that is wrong with the team.We are 2/3thirds into the season and we still cannot put a string of wins together you cannot put up a display like we had against Leeds like we did last week in the first half and then dont turn up the next match. Our fitness i would question is not up to scratch we drop the ball too much we give too many penalties away and our defense does not exist.Passing the ball and backing up plus fitness is obtained on the pitch not in the gym.
The great Bill Shankly said you can have blokes running laps around the perimiter of the pitch all day and they will get fed up give them a ball and they play for ever. When you look into his words it makes sense the players are getting fitter and at the same time getting ball skills
If the established players cannot do the job put some young uns in at least they will show a bit more pride.

That is the problem with Noble.

In 2008 we are no nearer to know if Stanton, Ainscough, Mossop, STomkins are any nearer being SL players than we were in 2007. Nor will they get a chance at the start of SL 2009. Of course Nobby will play them in friendlies but they mean nothing as to how Nobby selects teams. NOBODY KNOWS that is the crime.

Would it have made any difference to play Stanton instead of Colbon on the wing for half the games? NO it would have givem Noble a comparison. Both players an opportunity.

S Tomkins? Well Anderson learned more about Smith / Eastmond than Noble has about Sam Tomkins.

Head Coach Brian Noble admitted he was disappointed with the second half display,
WRONG WRONG, Every Hull KR fan has said Wigan should have had the game put to bed in the first half. No mention of that Brian? Funny a team has lost 5 matches on the trot and he thinks the first half was seemingly okay. We should have put them to bed.

N.B - Several of the Hull KR players who played today were destroyed by our reserves this season.

“It is hugely disappointing, we don’t seem to be able to build any momentum at the moment, we get a great opportunity against St Helens next week but the reality is we didn’t touch the ball in the second half after our first score and that’s testimony to Dobson’s kicking game and enthusiasm from Hull KR. I think at one stage they had six complete sets on our line, something had to give and that can give you a lack of energy and fatigue and that proved to be the case."

At 10-22, if Wigan had scored again it possibly would have been game over, on that Brian said,

“We came up with some elementary errors which allowed them into our half, I tried to re-enforce at half time by telling them they have some good kickers in their game and they kicked us to death. Dobson individually kicked well for himself and the team and I think at one point we had 59 tackles on our line and that takes the juice away from you. It’s hard to then go down to the other end of the field and do the things we want to do.”
I have yet to see ANY KICKER kick well if his team are not going forward. It is what you do before the kick that makes the kicker look good or bad. If you do your job right, then come the kick tackle players can disrupt the kickers time and time again. Funny how a 35 year old prop, Price manages to disrupt world class kickers year in year out for Queensland.

Wigan must now put this game behind them and concentrate on Friday and the home game with St Helens, on that Brian added,

“There is still 16 points to play for and next week is a big game for us and an important two points. They embarrassed us last time and I will be mentioning that to the players but I think it’s the disappointment of what we dished up today that should fuel our fire and if it doesn’t I will be disappointed.”
Change the record. How many times have we been putting humpty back together again Brian
