"Mathers you and Feka are swapping positions - we're going to intimidate St Helens... speaking of St Helens aren't they good? Pryce is on fire, so is Long, what about their hookers Mickey? Roby - Man of Steel with Cunningham can break a play anywhere on field, so too can Gardner, Gidley... their forwards are fearless aswell, Fa'asavalu and young Graham... awesome players they'll batter you down. They demolished Harlequins and Castleford and look unstoppable now and I have to say I love the way they play I dont think ahny coach can out-do Anderson now I wouldn't like to be up against them today..."

*looks at match day programme*

"sh**!"

The sharks are definatly scarier than the dolphins and we all know you poke a lion and you get your hand bit, but i think what we got to do know is roll up our sleeves and put our shoes on cos you dont get back on the horse without a saddle.

so thats it lads as they say talking is just an excuse for not acted everyone clear what they have to do?"

You forgot to mention the importance of winning the arm wrestle!

Mine would go:

Right then lads, I've been thinking about this one and there is only way I can see us winning tonight. Mathers; you take this shotgun - your job is to shoot long, pryce and gidley. If you've got time before the police restrain you, try and shoot Cayless too, oh and don't forget that twat Maria

The rest of you - do you think that you're good enough to beat half of the saints team? Well go out there and prove it!

"Right lads time to discuss the game plan, over to you Trent."

If it were down to me I'd probably have no voice left to give a team talk before the kick off because I'd have lost it balling them out all week, mostly telling them stuff right out of the John Monie defensive coaching manual.

I'd have them memorise that quote from Edwards about staying in the defensive line come what may and I'd tell 'em if they didn't to keep on walking out the stadium when they came off!

Surprised at your naivety at joining in with the adolesence.

if i was coach id say

right remember the last game we beat them and we beat them cause we had to, well think its that game again to get into play-offs.Dont let your heads drop like hull kr away last week as the mentality went,if we go down by 12 points or whatever dont think never mind get right up in the faces dnt give silly penalties cause they will make you pay for them.think of all the painfull memories the fans have had as well going to cardiff to watch you get hammered, its not fair its time we repaid them for the loyalness(or however you spell it lol)what they have shown.

then wiv about 3 mins to kick off i would walk out of the changing room and before i left i would put on a little video for 1 minute to let them remember the last game of season and the bradford come back and i would have 1 last word before kick off to say,
FAIL TO PREPARE, PREPARE TO FAIL

lol :)

I think Nobby has more than likely said it all before.Perhaps a short poem written in the trenches in world war one could work.

If

If you think you are beaten, you are
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t
It’s almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost
For out of the world we find
Success begins with a fellows will
It’s all a state of mind.

If you think you’re out classed, you are
You’ve got to think high to rise
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize

Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger faster man
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can?

We can do lads.Do it for the fans,do it for yourselves but more than all do for Wigan.
