who would you drop/who would you bring in/ imo noble will go with same player.
The easy bit Mano is that Noble will stick with the 17. The only additions being Prescott / Mathers and maybe McLlorum after suspension.
It's important the players and the coaching staff stick together.
Noble misunderstands loyalty. Once he deides he wants you he is unbelievably loyal, too loyal. Unfortunately he shows no loyalty to form, so anybody coming in and playing well receives no loyalty whatsoever. What you end up with unfair treatment which means the Brian Noble stick together loyalty is worthless.

Got to agree.

There is no need to bring back players before they are ready (lockers and now Richards) when they are fit playerswaiting in the wings, Calderwood comes to mind.

BTW Calderwood has told me that he rarely speaks to Noble and can't wait to be away from Wigan, with his only hope that Nobby doesn't follow him!

Ratings?

Richards 5 (worst game for a long time)
Colbon 5 (tries so hard but never breaks a tackle)
Goulding 5 (Did nothing wrong bar maybe not passing to Colbon once. Really needs sprint training to get him some extra pace/optimise speed)
Carmont 4 (worst game for a long time)
Phelps 5 (trying hard. Never beat a man. The time he was dumped for a drop out was the all time low for me, every Huddersfield player chased in a line. When Phelps was dumped his teammates were 30 yards away)
Trent 6 (He put some good balls out, kicked a 40-20, horror mistake after half time)
Tommy 5.5 (Far better at 7, poor at 9)
Fielden 4 (No go forward)
Higham 6 (Our best?)
Coley 4 (No go forward)
Hock 0 (if you get sent off you usually get zero)
Bailey 5 (did nothing wrong, did nothing impressive, looked short of match fitness.)
Tomkins 5 (Tried hard, maybe deserved a 5.5 if he had stuck hold when he hit a gap and should have scored.)

Smith 4 (Unfit, some of his passes were very poor, not sure he hit the bread basket once, one awful kick, better player than he showed last night.)
Hansen 5 (Did nothing wrong, nothing special either)
O'Carrol 5 (How long was he given? Noble does not seem to rate him)
Feka 4.5 (Fitness getting worse. You need acceleration to go with the size)

My team?

Richards
Stanton
Goulding
Carmont
Ainscough (when he return from Aus)
Trent
Lu Lu
Fielden
Higham
Coley
Hock (if suspended Mossop)
Tomkins
Hansen

Reserves

Prescott
O'Carrol
S Tomkins
Bailey (if Hock plays, Mossop?)

I would release Calders. The way he has been treated he deserves to goand cannot be in the right frame of mind to play.

Smith / Feka - Physical conditioning 100% for the next month. Smith to play in the reserves.

Colbon - Reserves

Phelps - Release when Ainscough returns

It is too early for Ainscough but he may get through it because he does have positives. Alongside Stanton he scoots well and can finish moves.

Personally, I would be on a plane and come back with Tim Sheens signed up as coach. Temporarily I would appoint Andrew Farrell as caretaker coach and he would become an assistant under Sheens.

Shaun Edwards is the only Brit I would have as permanent coach but that is not going to happen in the foreseeable future if at all.

Sheens could sort this club out from top to bottom in the time Noble has had.

We need an Aussie as the sport is so big over there that every club is big. We are such a big club with a huge past we need a coach to handle pressure and handle big personalities. Noble just doesnt seem upto the job.
