The club is going to look very silly if it does turn out to be something trivial like a new signing, however high profile.

A comment on the sporting life website about the announcement HERE
The biggest speculation of the week surrounds the major announcement due at Huddersfield on Saturday night.

The Giants are throwing the doors open for what chairman Ken Davy has promised will be the most important news in the club's recent history but they are keeping tight-lipped on the nature of the announcement.

That has prompted a flurry of speculation from cut-price season-ticket offers to a major signing, with Australia captain Darren Lockyer even mentioned in some quarters.

It is easy to be cynical in these situations, perhaps suggesting Huddersfield are desperate to avoid the sight on live television of rows of empty seats for what is normally one of their least attractive home matches.

But the Giants have significantly raised the hopes and expectations of their fans with their bold promise and it is to be hoped they can now deliver.

:D God forbid I wouldn't even wish that on Saints. Although any decent young players they may have will be released at the end of the season. We could pick them up then they could go back to Huddesfield and haunt them.

Just heard on the grapevine that the biggest anouncement in the Giants clubs history is for everyone who buys a season ticket next season they not only get allocated a seat but also their own personal sheep.
