I really hope we don't get him back. He only wants to return because he isn't getting gametime in Rah Rah, well tough. If he was playing regularly he wouldn't think twice about staying there, he seemed happy enough last year. Ashton has shown what he thinks of the club through his attitude after he signed for Northampton and as far as I'm concerned he can go whistle.

Mixed Feelings.

He hasnt really given it long in union and exactly put his soul into it and battled for a place.

Doesnt sound like the type of player we want.

Oh yes and Noble's done a great job of managing bad attitude's hasn't he

You really like the little scumbag don't you ;)

His attitude stinks and he pretty much stuck 2 fingers up to the Wigan club and fans. He's more interested in money than the sport/ club itself and if he did come back he'd clear off at the first opportunity to make more money.

Incidentally, top try scorer in Union's National League 1 is what I would expect from any player going from Super League. The standard of rugby is absolutely dire! I think the fact that he did that and then can't get into the team in the premiership says more about Ashton than anything he achieved last season.

The last thing the club needs is another player with questionable attitude.

simply, i'd have him back.

attack - fantastic
defense - surely with Rads on board in the club he could be helped!

Rads reckons he can help Mathers, if he can help Mathers, surely he can help Ashton[/u]

Wigan lad

deserves another chance

his defensive frailties can be strengthened by a good coach ( not Noble though )

was on something like £200 a game at Wigan when Noble would play him so not a steady wage. Northampton made a massive offer and he went. Cant blame him as its a short career.

You say Rads turned it down but he was on a huge amount as sport GB subsidised around 3 players before disappearing and he was one of them.

Not saying I like him but would feel like biting my nose of to spite my face if we said lets not have a fast (dont have real speed in the team now) plyer back due to him wearing a Northampton top (after agreeing terms with them).

I suppose we could turn away proven class and stick with Mathers :eusa2:
