Once again our attack lacks the killer instinct and passes where all over the place.
Saints where there for the taking tonight and we didnt capitalise, the effort was there but we are lacking in the final 3rd as i say
I honestly believe that starts at scrum half. I love
Leuluai and appreciate his huff and puff, but unfortunately he's not blowing any houses down! Controversial as it is, would we have lost tonight if Dobson, Gregory or Edwards had have been at 7?

Fielden is the highest paid prop in the world and never busts a tackle.
Was well impressed with the effort shown tonight though can that mind set turn up every week please.

Our attacking line is crap.
You only need two dummy runners.
Lu Lu to Tomkins ( behind a dummy runner )
Tomkins to Phelps/Lockers ( Behind a dummy runner )
Phelps/Lockers to centres and wingers.
It is that simple. We dont do it often enough. When we do, its either with no dummy runners or were too flat.

Im not going down the past players route, the fact remains we are poorly coached in relation to our attack (to coin a noble phrase) Im not going to criticise ST but his passes seemed to be wayward tonight BUT our attack was so flat in the final 3rd.TL was actually very good tonight but he was mad to look a fool with some very flat runners and also some poor distribution fom the PTB
Fair point

I thought the attack was pretty good, just unlucky on several occasions. I've seen plenty tries similar to Hock's given, and there was a lovely kick through by Tomkins that just didn't bounce for Phelps (who I thought had his best game yet for us). Lots of other close calls that on another day would have worked to perfection.
Lots of positives to get out of tonight's performance (at the risk of sounding like Nobby!) - maybe the omelette isn't quite burnt yet?

I guess a lot of that comes back to the original point, a pack driving a team forwards makes a 9, 7 and 6's job much easier?

Which Edwards and Gregory had, but Dobson didn't

You make your own luck geoff, we are not clinical in anyway and our attack is very one dimensional, saints where there for the taking tonight that is the most frustrating thing about the result.
Patience is the virtue and we had umpteen repeat sets tonight and didnt convert into any points at all.
he spirit was great to see, sadly spirit dont win you games, especially against a team who can grind the result out
You have to give credit to saints defence, though. In the last two times Leeds have played them, they only scored 3 tries. I think they've only conceded something like 12 points per game, on average this season.

They are good. What would break them down?
