My biggest grudge was the Good Friday fixture last season, and it looks like it will be the same every time we are due to play at home on Good Friday unless the FA sort out the fixture lists and take our important games into account as well when compiling them.
Why is it the fault of the FA like it or not wendy ball is the major/national game in this country.
Its up to the RL fixture compilers to sort out our Good Friday game and others so they dont clash with the wendy ball
It shouldnt matter if soccer is the main national sport in Britain.
Rugby League is the main national sport of Wigan, & the reason the stadia was built in the off-set.
Why should Wigan Warriors fans suffer for a sport that latched onto our stadium.
I agree, as you rightfully say, its about time our egg-heads in Red House stuck up for our game.

Sorry Jaws, wasn't meaning that it was entirely the fault of the FA, the RFL should negotiate with them as well, especially for clubs that ground share so there won't be an issue like GF, or for play off games. but it seems that we are the only club that ground share that has a problem when both teams are playing fixtures close together.
If i rememeber rightly think all the parties have sat round the table and negotiated this.
I don't have a problem with ground sharing, but I do find it strange that people from the same town should be at each others throats because they prefer one sport to another. On the other hand football supporters in general are, imo, off their heads for paying to support the outrageous salaries enjoyed by the players of "the beautiful game". It's enough to make a sane person weep.

I don't have a problem with ground sharing either, if that is what it we have to do, as long as it is equally shared, & not one sided as it is now and how we, the rugby supporters are and have been treated. And I think the animosity was/is mostly from the football. I have never gloated when they have lost, heavily or not, remember
75 - 0! 70 - 0! so I wish them good luck, enough for them to stay in the premiership so that the town of Wigan benefits from both sides
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
