What was the total penalty count BTW? 25? More?

The ball is in play what 60 miutes of the 80?

1 penalty every 2+ minutes is simply not good for RL

None of the penalties we conceded in the last ten minutes were wrong refereeing decisions. Blaming the ref is a weakness. The ref didn't miss the tackle, Gleeson did and so did Pat (although that's harsh) but if Prescott hadn't given the penalty away and Sam not kicked poorly we would have won the game. That's nothing to do with Bentham. If Roberts had claimed the ball or just wellied it up field we would have won. That wasn't Bentham was it?

You honestly think those were penalties. We are talking what seconds and if we start saying yes they are then were do we stop? How many penalties do you want? How many could be given? Remember a couple of seasons back when a referee threw common sense out of the window and awarded 40+ penalties and then Cummings and co had to backtrack.

Conditions were difficult, players were exhausted, a huge game. You have to apply common sense and understand what the players are going through. Did you watch Origin 1. Imagine that game refereed by a SL ref. It would have been ridiculous.

You award penalties in the last 10 minutes then you need to be damn sure they are penalties. Any doubt keep the whistle away from your mouth.

Linzi or Rob? :)

Bad refereeing. If the referee has to rely on his whistle then he is not in control. A game where the referee goes unnoticed is a well refereed game. A English SL referee would have ruined Origin 1 this week, in similar weather conditions too. Maybe the Aussies know RL and are better at officiating.

What's the difference between 29th and 79th minute?

Straw you have still not explained how a team can remain unbeaten wih every other referee bar 1 and they lose 3 with him. Very odd? Suspicious? Referees cheat. They always have, they always will.

I do feel straw's sentiments here. We are blaming bentham when coley and Prescott with stupid errors and penalties cost us more than bentham.

I'm not saying bentham was good or made the right calls every time but we can't blame him for our defeats this season, even if he has reffed them all.

That said, does he just think Leeds players are automatically square all the time because he should've blown for that a few times - blew for everything else!

If he had been even remotely consistent - then I could understand it; however he was shocking for the whole match.

Does anyone think that if it had been Coley tackling burrow in the way that peacock did Sam that the result would have been anything other than a red card?

Had Bailey lashed out with his feet like senior did; that he would have stayed on the field?

No, me neither.

Leeds did not deserve to win the game today - and had if there had been a half decent referee on the pitch they wouldn't have.
