I dont understand this England v Germany lark... 65 years to forgive germany? This is a small, poor, old-lancastrian town not nazism/fascism versus democracy (although satirists may make a connection to that).

Wigan Warriors and wigan athletic should remain seperate... charitable or borough work partnerships are fine but leave the manchester city and united supporters to make their own minds.

i am not a latics hater, i just don't like football,

never found anything to entertain me.

I have had first hand experience of a latics fan who every season has said that warriors will be kicked out of the stadium this year, so my dislike of latics stems from that alone because it gets my back up.

There isnt, and wont be one, while Premier Legue rules state that the football team who play in a shared stadium must have a "legally enforceable provision to the effect that the playing of the Club’s League Matches shall always take precedence over the activities of the other party to the agreement."

Therefore no point in issuing a statement that cant, and probably wont, be stuck too.

So, if im from Wigan I have to support the Latics?

I do not think you have to support the team but surely if you are from Wigan whether you are a rugby fan or football fan then you wish the other team good fortune and to do well for the town. Wiganers should be proud of Jenny Meadows but it does not mean they are all going to become athletics nuts. If somebody or something is doing well for your town you should rejoice. You do not have to like it / watch what they do but being negative is a bad choice.

negativity breeds negativity unfortunately. There's no real animosity between Hull city and rugby fans but Should Hull FC wish Rovers well.

My posting on here was out of emotion and feeling on the day, I had no plans to post again. But now, just to show that real supporters exist in all sport, I will post my congratulations, good luck messages and messages of support for the team until I am no longer able to.

I watch them once or twice a season. I am an Arsenal fan so watch them when they come to wigan, blackburn or bolton. I naturally want bolton to do well as i used to live a mile from the reebok and work in that area every day. Yes hatred against Latics is from supporting other teams (arsenal) i dont wish west brom well do I? why should i wish wigan athletic well? It's called choice.

would that now include Bayern Munich or FC Colne in the Bundesliga now we are best buddies with Germany? 65 years of forgiveness? you need a history lesson. Try and go back to the League of Nations or Versailles and take it from there.

Im a Wiganer, it doesnt mean i have to wish Latics well. I understand that some wiganers would like wigan to do well in anything but im not one as simply Latics dont arouse me.

Having posted 6 times, you seem to have an overall support on this thread so I am bound to question why you have not seen fit to return to your thread on the 'blue board' which at this moment in time has 18 replies, all dismissing your ideas out of hand and very few in the generally polite manner that you have enjoyed here!
