Agreed. But at the moment, we are sharing a shitty pitch with a top flight club. How will the pitch improve in February if Latics are playing in a lower division?
They won't be playing any European games on it then will they?
Oh but erm :)

hope we are not forced into playing any games that should be at home elsewhere this year due to resurfacing pitch, lets just hope groundsmen get it sorted and quickly

The fixtures are already sorted to cope with that - we have most of June free for it, after the HKR game 30th May, the next home game is Hudds on June 24th.

Its not the pitch that is the problem, but the football pundits who single out Wigan for some reason.

No mention of the pitch at the KC when Hull City was in the Premiership.

Brian Carney has just signed off from the Millennium Pitch pointing out that 7 games have been played in 36 hours and the pitch is still perfect!

Really? They played last night and are at home to muplc 26th, how will it have time to bed in?
If it is relaid, I can see it cutting up worse than ever.

Reading the article they are only relaying parts of the pitch so it will probably look like a patch work quilt!

It's a wonder they haven't blamed us for the state of the pitch!!!

BTW I was down near there on Monday taking the dog to the canal. Saw one of the groundsmen, not the head one who I know.

I asked how the pitch was looking? His reply was

"There are too many games played on it!!!" & carried on walking back into the ground with his trusty wheelbarrow.

Is he having a laugh???

He must not realise there has only been football played on it since September
