Wigan Walk

What annoys me is that every set of supporters from every SL CLub do it so why do those two muppets on sky keep going on about the so called "Wigan Walk". They don't mention it when the homless ones supporters (saints) do the " St Helens shuffle" do they.

Sit in the end seat of row V in the West Stand.Spent the first 20 min of the first half standing up to let late commers into our row . Spent the second 20 min of the first half letting people out for a pee and more beer.The first 20 min of the second half letting people in with more beer and half time pies.Last 20 min of the match letting "loyal" fans Wigan Walk.

I ONLY DROVE 400 MILES TO WATCH THE BLOODY RUGBY AND SUPPORT MY TEAM .

Ps Can anybody tell me what happened on the pitch, and what the score was cause i saw precious little .

This, "I'm leaving early to beat the traffic", sorry, but it does not wash with me.

Left 5 min after the final whistle and it was easy getting away as so many had left well early.

I travel 172 mile round trip.Nearly always bust my arse to make the game barring work commitments.I get home late and rise early 5am for work. And yet I do not take the option of trying to beat the traffic. As said previously. I appreciate the boys getting battered and bruised for eighty minutes to try and entertain me. Sometimes they fail and it's a long lonely drive home and more often than not we are on a winner. It always angers and frustrates me to see fans walking early on in the game. Never used to happen in the fifties or sixties so why now.So what that it was a foregone conclusion that we got mauled and the game was past redemption. Just do not walk. Stay and show appreciation for what was an outstanding game no matter the result. And I also hate the silence around the ground whenever the opposition scores. We should be shouting louder and louder to encourage the boys. Rant over.

Eddie Hemmings never fails to mention it when our fans leave early but very rarely does it when other teams do the same thing so I'm disappointed our own fans are jumping on this bandwagon.

Maybe we should all stay and be given brushes in order sweep up the terraces before we all go home to show what good supporters we all are :sly:

I know I don't get to as many games as most on here, but I have a 250 mile round trip, and don't drive so it gets a tad expensive.
If people want to leave to beat the traffic, I guess that is up to them, but why is beating the traffic so much more important if the team are losing?

Bad example IMO. To execute the 'Wigan Walk' correctly, it is essential that you enter the stadium in the first place!
