I'm very disappointed in him. Wigan have stood by him through 2 years of injury, searched the globe for a specialist to fix the injury that threatened his career, and now he's off to Hull for a longer contract and/or more money than offered by Wigan. Says "Ancient & LOYAL" on the badge that he doesn't want to wear any more.
Eamon sustained his injury doing his duty by Wigan. Consequently I would expect Wigan to stand by him.We are not in the inner circle so are not really in a position to be judgemental of the lad.Of course it is sad that we are losing a solid player for the rumoured Luaki but to infer that he is being disloyal to the club is a bit of an insult to the lad don't you think? Most people in every day walk of life wish for an enhanced contract and better financial rewards so is it really surprising that he possibly took the better offer on hand? Of course I will miss the lad but I will wish him all the very best for his future and hope that he does not bite us by the hand on his return as a Hull player.
Couldn't put it better myself Kooch

The Wigan Observer states Wigan offered Freddy a new contract but he felt he needed regular first team rugby and that was more likely at Hull.

People are repeatedly mentioning as though Lauaki is a done deal.
Has there been any official announcement from WWRLF or Hull FC as such.

Always liked Freddie and was really hoping he would have been selected last Sunday as Morley might have run the other way! The career of a rugby league player is short so can understand them wanting to get the best deal they can get but still disappointed - just hope Joe Mellor isn't the next one to feel he has waited long enough and decides to move on.
So far we know we know we are losing Ryan Hoffman, Andy Coley, Ben Davies & Eamon O'Carroll but only have rumour and speculation on who might be coming in, none of which is getting any of us very excited

Well done freddy, you deserve a good deal from Rugby League.
You have a huge heart and a big desire to play the game.
Sorry you suffered more than your fair share of injuries, and sorry your career has moved away from WWRLFC.
All the very best with your new club.

Dont think Lauaki suits Wigan's style of play and to be honest he is more of a luxury type player of the Feka ilk, but far more lazy and penalty costly than Iafeta.
Big unit he is but I couldnt honestly see him putting more than 15 tackles together in a game with his current fitness.

Not big enough for the modern game, just look at the comments about our pack size already.

I still think we will work miracles with this monster of a man. He will be a good signing. Mark my words, I will be doing the I told you so dance if he plays for us next season.
I also think Luauki has the potential to be an excellent prop under the right coaching BUT I would prefer someone like Griffin or Sidlow BUT I also suppose you can only sign who is available unless you want to get the cheque book out.

sad to see him go, really looked good at times, just never seemed to get a good run in the team (injuries etc) goin to be interesting to see our front row next season, Lima, Prescott, Lauaki, Hock and Mossop (Especially if he bulks up a little) wouldn't mind seeing the back of Fielden tbh
