So this means Lauaki is coming to us? Can't believe the club has invested so much into Freddie's recovery only for him to leave. Don't think this is the best bit of business IFL has done!

wish someone would gently explain the logic of what the game plan is...Luaki, thomas...call me dense but I just dont get it...Kittwazzer wrote:So this means Lauaki is coming to us? To be fair O'carroll is a great little grafter and it is a shame hes going but we need some real size in the pack and he just hasn't got that. Big heart but just not big!

Like the lad, gives his all but IMO not big enough for a modern day prop in a championship winning team.
Good luck and stay fit

Over on rlfans it is rumoured that Wigan have no space on the cap given how some long term deals signed with other players have matured into bigger payments. That and the fact we have signed Lauaki and some Crusader rejects means there is no room for O'Carroll.Kittwazzer wrote:So this means Lauaki is coming to us? Given it's a 3 year deal at Hull I reckon he has taken a better paid and longer term deal than Wigan were prepared to offer. That would not be so bad if it were not for what I post above. If any of that is true this is awful salary cap management by IFL because we will be losing a very good player to sign a thug and some players from the Crusaders.
O'Carroll can easily compete with Prescott for a place in the side IMO so I don't think this has anything to do with lack of ability.
If Maurice Lindsay had let O'Carroll go and signed Lauaki the lynch mob would be out. Quite right as well.

O'Carroll isn't a patch on Prescott IMO. Lacks the size and from what we've seen of Prescott over the last 18 months o'carroll doesn't have his ability to pass the ball before the collision. Prescott is turning into a fine prop forward.DaveO wrote:Over on rlfans it is rumoured that Wigan have no space on the cap given how some long term deals signed with other players have matured into bigger payments.
